American Health Has New Board Chairman
Cal Kovens has been elected chairman of the board at American Health Services Corp., a Newport Beach operator of diagnostic imaging and radiosurgery treatment centers. Kovens, a beneficial owner of more than 40% of the company’s outstanding common stock, has served as a director since August, 1991. Kovens is also chairman of Kovens Enterprises, a construction and development firm in southern Florida, and has been president and chairman of the board at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach for six years.
