Glendale : New Library Administrator
A 22-year Glendale library administrator has been named to the $81,768-a-year position as director of the city’s six libraries.
Laurel Patric, 45, will assume the position today, replacing Susan Curzon, who was hired last month as library director at Cal State Northridge.
Patric, appointed last week by City Manager James Ramsay, began as the children’s librarian at the Casa Verdugo branch in 1970. She last served as assistant director of libraries, responsible for facilities and personnel, and directed planning for a $2.74-million renovation of the main Central Library, to begin next month.
