VENTURA : Bishop Will Join Antiabortion Vigil
Catholic Bishop Patrick Ziemann of Santa Barbara will join abortion opponents today for a prayer vigil and procession at Family Planning Associates in Ventura.
The vigil begins with Mass at 8 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 3175 Telegraph Road. Participants will walk to the clinic at 1570 E. Thompson Blvd., where they will recite the rosary and sing hymns. Then they will return to the church for Benediction and a final word from Ziemann. The event is sponsored by Helpers of God’s Precious Infants, based in Redondo Beach.
