Now Playing in Pasadena: Paul Lazarus has resigned as artistic director of the Pasadena Playhouse to devote more time to film and TV directing. Deborah Dixon, director of creative services, will take over Lazarus’ duties--though not, at least for now, his title. A protege of Kennedy Center founder-producer Roger Stevens, Dixon joined the Playhouse staff in March. A Playhouse statement indicated Lazarus may return to direct at the Playhouse.
