Fullerton Museum Center Cuts Tuesday Service
Fullerton Museum Center will be closed to the general public on Tuesdays from Sept. 19 through next June because of a recent budget cut made by the Fullerton City Council, museum center director Joe Felz said Friday.
Because of the council’s decision, which trimmed 6% from all city program budgets, a part-time gallery attendant’s hours will also be reduced.
The city of Fullerton supplies $300,000, or 70%, of the museum center’s budget. The bulk of the remaining 30%, or $112,000, in private funds used for exhibitions and education has not been reduced, Felz said. The museum will remain open Tuesdays for school and other tours.
