SANTA ANA : Fiestas to Be Covered by International TV
Organizers of Las Fiestas Patrias de la Calle Cuatro, billed as one of the largest events in Southern California celebrating independence in Mexico and Latin America, announced Monday that the event will be televised internationally, reaching as many as 300 million people.
The family-oriented celebration, hosted by seven-time Emmy award-winning television producer Beatriz Acevedo and Mexican soap opera star Ernesto Laguardia, will also include more than a dozen renowned Mexican bands and singers.
The three-day event is expected to attract as many as 350,000 people and will begin Sept. 18. Held at the Fiesta Marketplace on 4th Street, it will include a children’s carnival with rides, games and a parade.
