Flights to China Resume: Vietnam’s state airline has resumed flights to China after a 13-year suspension. A Vietnam Airlines flight from Hanoi arrived last Tuesday in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou, formerly known as Canton. Vietnamese radio said there will be monthly flights until October, then two or three a week. Vietnamese and Chinese leaders agreed to restore transportation and other contacts during a summit last November.
