Thrift Association Elects New Chairman: The California League of Savings Institutions in San Francisco on Friday elected Mario J. Antoci for a yearlong term as chairman of the state’s largest thrift trade association. Antoci, president and chief executive of American Savings Bank in Irvine, succeeds Stephen W. Prough, president and chief executive of Western Financial Savings Bank in Irvine. J. Robert Eichinger, president and chief executive of Hemet Federal Savings in Riverside, was elected vice chairman of the trade group. He succeeds Antoci.
