Carolco Considers Combining With Live: Carolco Pictures Inc. confirmed that the company and its investment advisers are considering “the viability and strategic implications” of combining operations with its video distributor, Live Entertainment Inc. As noted in a separate announcement made by Live Entertainment, Carolco is looking at the combination as part of its effort to locate additional capital. Carolco, maker of “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” is Live’s 49.9% parent. David Mount, Live’s chief executive officer, said he is “pleased” at the company’s ongoing restructuring. Live also confirmed that it will not make an Oct. 1 dividend payment on a series of preferred stock. Live and Carolco are based in Los Angeles.
