Ojai Beckons to Blues Musicians
Blues enthusiasts can look forward to Saturday’s Bowlful of Blues at the Ojai Festival Bowl. This year, the event that annually attracts music fans from throughout Southern California will feature traditional and contemporary musicians from such areas as Louisiana, Mississippi and Chicago.
Kicking off at 2 p.m., the impressive 10-band showcase will continue well into the evening, with wailing blueswoman Marva Wright headlining at 8:45 p.m. For an in-depth look at Saturday’s event, see page J.
Concert-goers are encouraged to bring picnic snacks, blankets and low-back chairs for festival seating. Gates open at 1:30. Tickets are $20 in advance, $22.50 the day of the show.
