LOS ANGELES : Nationwide Search Urged to Fill Post

The City Council on Friday urged airport commissioners to search nationwide before choosing a replacement for retiring Department of Airports Executive Director Clifton Moore.
The council voted 10 to 3 in favor of Councilwoman Ruth Galanter’s request for a nationwide search. The action is not binding, but the council could reject the candidate selected by the airport commissioners.
