COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Saddleback Struggles in Water Polo Event

In three pool-play matches at the Long Beach City water polo tournament, Saddleback could manage only a 14-14 tie with Santa Monica and two losses Saturday at Long Beach.

Tim Millington scored six goals for Saddleback (6-10-1) in its tie with Santa Monica.

Trevor Rodin scored four goals in an 11-10 loss to San Diego Mesa, and led the Gauchos with three goals in a 12-8 loss to Rio Hondo.

In Saddleback women’s volleyball tournament:

Yavapai wins--Yavapai defeated Long Beach City, 15-2, in the championship match. Rancho Santiago and Saddleback, the only county schools in the tournament, did not advance out of pool play.
