BURBANK : Talent Agent Faces 4 New Sex Charges
A Burbank talent agent accused of sexual battery faces four new charges because more women told authorities they were attacked during modeling and acting interviews at his office, the Los Angeles district attorney’s office said Wednesday.
Wallace Kaye, 52, was in police custody in lieu of $500,000 bail, and faces a total of 10 charges of sexual battery or false imprisonment, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Mark Collier. Kaye’s request for a bail reduction was denied in Burbank Municipal Court on Wednesday and his arraignment was set for Monday.
Kaye was arrested at his storefront office on North Lima Street at Magnolia Boulevard on Oct. 8 on suspicion of four charges of sexual battery and two charges of false imprisonment. Kaye was arrested after a woman police officer from Glendale, working for Burbank police, went to his office posing as a model to check on complaints against him by 11 women, and was also molested, police said.
He was released Oct. 9 on $50,000 bail, but was re-arrested the next day after more women made complaints to Burbank police.
About 25 women called police after they had heard or read about Kaye’s first arrest. All the alleged victims told similar stories, alleging that Kaye held them down and fondled them, Collier said.
