FIFA, soccer’s world governing body, took the side of Italian soccer team Napoli in its dispute with a Spanish club over star Diego Maradona. FIFA spokesman Andreas Herren said Sevilla, Maradona’s new team, was given until Nov. 10 to provide Napoli with an Italian bank guarantee that it will pay the remaining $4.5 million of the $7.5 million it agreed to pay for Maradona’s rights.
