OUTLOOK
J.T. Cameron, in his second season in charge of the Flames, faces one of the problems every basketball coach in a small school confronts sooner or later: lack of personnel, especially of the taller variety. “We have probably the smallest team we’ve ever had,” Cameron said. “We are going to live and die with the outside shot because we can’t really pound it inside.” Corral is the tallest player on the team, but one who can crash the boards. He holds the school’s single-game rebounding record with 21. Nakao, the point guard, holds the Flames’ single-game assist mark with 16. Both will be complemented by a cast of newcomers that includes Castillio, a transfer from Chino Ayala. “He (Castillio) is a hard worker and has a pretty nice shot,” Cameron said. Jacot, the talented tailback on the Flame football team and a fine second baseman on the baseball squad, joins the team after sitting out last season. “He’s going to be hard for people to stop,” Cameron said. “He’s so strong. This summer (in summer leagues) he just went by people without problems.” Cameron also will have the services of his younger brother, Josh, in the backcourt.
