Off the Shelf: A spokesman for Blockbuster, the nation’s largest video retailer, confirmed published reports Tuesday that the company won’t be carrying Woody Allen’s PG-13 rated “Shadows and Fog,” but said the decision has nothing to do with the current scandal surrounding Allen as had been suggested. “That reason is absolutely untrue,” the spokesman said. “We look at 400 films a month. There are a lot of films we decide not to carry.” He added that Blockbuster planned to stock the R-rated version of Allen’s “Husbands and Wives” when it is released to video.
