Feeding the Hungry: Pop star Hammer, in partnership with USA Harvest, has collected in excess of 700,000 pounds of food in 1992 to feed the hungry. Hammer topped off this year’s efforts with a 47,000-pound donation to missions in the Oakland area. Hammer’s partnership with USA Harvest, the nationwide all-volunteer food distribution organization, began on May 1 with a Kentucky Hunger Relief concert in Louisville.
