More Tests Needed for Lakers’ Threatt
Laker guard Sedale Threatt, who suffered a concussion in Wednesday night’s loss to the Seattle SuperSonics, has been kept in Centinela Hopsital for a second night of tests.
Test results received Thursday were normal, but Threatt is listed as doubtful for Saturday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs.
Threatt suffered the injury in a first-half collision with Nate McMillan.
Byron Scott, who has missed 17 games because of a sprained right foot, practiced Thursday but isn’t expected to play Saturday. Without Scott and Threatt, the team’s top two scorers, the Lakers will have only Tony Smith and rookies Anthony Peeler and Duane Cooper in the backcourt.
