‘Trek’ on Track: The latest show from the “Star Trek” galaxy, “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,” deep-sixed the competition during its premiere Tuesday night on KCOP Channel 13. According to overnight ratings from the A.C. Nielsen Co., “Deep Space” averaged a 20.3 rating and 29% share of the audience during its 8-10 p.m. showing to beat its competition on both network and independent stations. The new show ranked first in all half-hour time periods except 9-9:30 p.m. when it was topped by ABC’s “Roseanne.” The premiere episode will be rerun by KCOP Sunday at 8 p.m.
