Master’s Women Fall to Azusa Pacific
Despite a game-high 24 points by reserve Audrey McMurray, The Master’s College women’s basketball team was buried by host Azusa Pacific, 91-70, in a nonconference game Thursday night.
McMurray came off the bench and made nine of 12 shots to lead the Mustangs (3-10). Center Tricia Plummer added 14 and guard Krissi Trower had 10.
Twelve of 13 players on the Azusa Pacific roster scored. Azusa Pacific (10-3) led at halftime, 50-31, after making 22 of 38 field-goal attempts.
Simi Valley High product Shannon Solway scored 12 points to share team-high honors for Azusa Pacific.
