College Basketball
The Master’s College player Phil Sanson was released from UC San Francisco Medical Center to return to school in Santa Clarita after suffering a fractured larynx and undergoing a live-saving tracheotomy. He dived headfirst into the bleachers to stop the ball from going out of bounds in a game last Saturday.
Sanson must wait for the swelling in his larynx to subside in order to determine if surgery will restore his voice and enable him to breathe without the tracheotomy tube.
