Mathews Reports 280% Rise in 1st-Quarter Profit
Mathews Studio Equipment Group reported net income for the first quarter that ended Dec. 31 of $491,000, an increase of 280% over the previous year’s first-quarter income of $129,000.
The Burbank-based company, which makes, sells and rents equipment for the film industry, had revenues of $5.6 million for the quarter, up from $5.4 million for the same quarter of the previous year. The company’s fiscal year ends Sept. 30.
