AWARDS
GLAAD Honors: The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) picked Sir Ian McKellen and Roseanne and Tom Arnold for special awards Tuesday, but found no motion pictures to include on this year’s list of awards that honor outstanding portrayals of lesbians, gay men and bisexuals. “Roseanne,” “Melrose Place,” “Doing Time on Maple Drive” and “One Life to Live” were named as television winners, while “Angels in America” and “Falsettos” were cited as outstanding theater productions. Other winners included Elton John (music video) and Garth Brooks (song). The awards will be presented in Los Angeles and New York in March.
