Foundation Gives Lifetime Achievement Award to James Brown
Soul singer James Brown will receive a lifetime achievement award from the Rhythm & Blues Foundation at its fourth annual Pioneer Awards on Feb. 25 in Los Angeles.
Little Anthony and the Imperials and Martha and the Vandellas will be honored as groups, while individual recipients will be Hadda Brooks, Solomon Burke, Dave Clark, Floyd Dixon, Lowell Fulson, Erskine Hawkins, Wilson Pickett, Carla Thomas and Jimmy Witherspoon.
