NIGHT PATROL: The El Toro Marine Corps Air Station is warning its neighbors that February may be a bit noisy at night for them. Some of its pilots will be doing a lot of night practice--including those going for their first aircraft carrier landings. They don’t let first-timers practice those at sea. . . . The Marines explain that these sessions usually take place at San Clemente Island, but it was overbooked with work this month.
