NORTHRIDGE : U.S., China School Experts Lead Forum

Teaching experts from China and the United States will discuss educational reform in both countries at a forum at Cal State Northridge on Monday.

“Educational Reforms in China and the U.S.” is the second annual forum offered by the Cal State Northridge China Institute to improve cultural and educational exchanges between the United States and China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Panelists will include: Yvonne Chan, principal of Vaughn Street Elementary School; Yuanren Wang, deputy director of foreign investments and loans at the Chinese State Education Commission; Anna Kuo Yu, chemistry teacher at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School; Edward Moreno, professor of Chicano Studies at Cal State Northridge, and James Cunningham and Justine Su, professors of Education at Cal State Northridge.

The forum will take place at 1:30 p.m. in the Gabrielino Room of the Satellite Student Union at Cal State Northridge.
