Lee Polk, 69, an Emmy Award-winning director of children’s programming and president of Polk Communications. From 1970 to 1972, Polk was director of children’s programming at National Educational Television, and from 1972 to 1976 held the same position at the ABC network. In 1986, Polk won an Emmy for the “Wonderworks” series “Anne of Green Gables.” In New York City on Feb. 19 of leukemia.
