Knox Carries Lee Past The Master’s
Junior forward Rodney Knox connected on nine of 13 three-point attempts to lead visiting Lee College (Tenn.) to a 101-89 victory Friday night over The Master’s in a National Christian Collegiate Athletic Assn. basketball semifinal.
Knox, who finished with a game-high 30 points, made all of his three-point shots in the first half to give Lee a 43-39 lead. Master’s pulled ahead, 53-50, early in the second half, but failed to maintain the charge.
Emeka Okenwa led The Master’s (20-11) with 34 points on 15-for-34 shooting.
For Lee, Ricky Mears added 24 points, and Russell Meilstrup had 22.
