ON HATING BRENDA

I have had the pleasure of meeting Shannen Doherty and would like to set the record straight (“The Importance of Hating Brenda,” by Mark Ehrman, Palm Latitudes, Feb. 7). Doherty is a strong woman with definite opinions. If that makes her “a bitch,” so be it.

Unfortunately, we still live in a society where a strong man is labeled aggressive but a strong woman is a bitch. So Doherty’s political opinions differ from the majority’s. So what! Has our society regressed to the point where we form clubs to foster hate toward those we disagree with?
