Seminar on Diversity: UC Irvine’s extension school will hold a daylong seminar April 1 on managing and training a diverse work force. Speakers at the sessions, to run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., will include representatives from Xerox Corp., Bank of America, Baxter Healthcare Corp. and Sony Pictures Entertainment. Also speaking are Judy Rosener, UCI professor and author of “Work Force America: Managing Employee Diversity as a Vital Resource”; Lee Gardenswartz and Anita Rowe, management consultants and co-authors of “Managing Diversity: A Complete Desk Reference and Planning Guide”; and David Jamieson, co-author of “Managing Work Force 2000: Gaining the Diversity Advantage.” The fee for the day is $395 per person, with a discount for groups of three or more.
