NIT : Georgetown Is in Semifinals

FAIRFAX, Va. — Georgetown completed the field for the semifinal round of the National Invitation Tournament with a 66-53 victory over Miami of Ohio on Thursday night.
The Hoyas (19-12) shot a season-best 62% and got 15 points from Robert Churchwell. They advanced to a Monday game against the Alabama Birmingham at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
The other semifinal game will feature Providence against Minnesota.
Georgetown blew the game open midway through the second half.
Miami (22-9) led, 4-0, with 17 minutes to play in the first half, when the Hoyas went on an 18-1 run.
