Ingram Makes UK Acquisition: Ingram Micro Inc, the world’s largest wholesale distributor of microcomputer products, says it has acquired parts of an English microcomputer products distributor. The acquisition of Terminal Five from Leading Technology Group gives Ingram Micro a skilled group of 31 workers with expertise in the market for computers that run on the popular Unix operating system. Ingram also gets an expanded base of resellers and rights to distribute a wide range of Hewlett-Packard products. Terms were not disclosed. The acquisition will give Ingram Micro, based in Santa Ana, a stronger foothold in the United Kingdom, company officials said in an announcement Monday.
