Clinton to Choose Bush Nominee as Bosnia Envoy

WASHINGTON — President Clinton plans to nominate career foreign service officer Victor Jackovich to be ambassador to war-torn Bosnia-Herzegovina, the White House announced Friday.
Jackovich had been nominated by President George Bush last fall, but the Senate adjourned without confirming him.
He has been in Geneva trying to help negotiate peace for the former Yugoslav republics.
