Get Home Inspected Before You Buy
In a recent letter, Bob Bruss was asked about whether home inspections were necessary for a new home. He did not directly address the question, but went on to talk about builders warranties, which, if if they can be obtained, are an excellent protection from defects.
Because a house is new is no reason not to have a home inspection. Every buyer should have a home inspection of their home, new or used. This will disclose defects that can save the buyer thousands and thousands of dollars should they be discovered only after escrow is closed.
