Long Beach : Panel Hearing on Cal State Jazz Center Is Rescheduled
The Assembly Higher Education Committee has rescheduled a hearing for Tuesday on a measure to establish an Institute for the Preservation of Jazz as an Artform at Cal State Long Beach.
The hearing was postponed last week because the bill’s author, Assemblyman Willard H. Murray Jr. (D-Paramount), was traveling in his district and could not attend. The goal of the center would be to foster jazz education and assemble an archives on jazz.
