Building Permits for Single-Family Homes Down Slightly for County
The number of building permits issued during the first quarter in Orange County for single-family homes fell slightly compared to a year ago, according to a report issued Wednesday by the Construction Industry Research Board in Burbank.
Only 941 permits were issued during the first three months of 1993, down from 1,011 permits during the first quarter of 1992.
The picture was somewhat brighter for multifamily construction: 580 permits were issued during the quarter, up from a total of 498 multifamily permits a year ago.
