Aerojet, PG&E; to Develop Natural Gas Fuel Tanks: Aerojet, a Sacramento-based defense contractor, and Northern California’s Pacific Gas & Electric Co. announced that they will adapt military and space technology to build mobile fueling facilities for compressed natural gas. The goal: to cut costs to fleet users who now must pay as much as $500,000 to build natural gas fueling depots at their facilities. The new tanks, made of lightweight materials, will cost about $100,000 to build. The partners plan to turn the technology over to fuel distribution companies for servicing individual fleets.
