Beverly Hills : Benefit for South-Central
The city will present its second annual gospel concert on Saturday to raise funds for needy residents of South-Central Los Angeles.
Last year’s concert by the Faithful Central Baptist Church Choir raised about $44,000 to benefit residents of the riot-torn area, a city spokesman said. The money is distributed through relief operations run by 10 South-Central churches.
The 200-person choir will perform at the Beverly Hills High School auditorium, 241 S. Moreno Drive. The concert starts at 5 p.m. Tickets are $10. Information: (310) 285-1023.
