Woman Dies After Car Hits Pole in Stanton
STANTON — An Anaheim woman died Tuesday morning after her car apparently jumped a curb and struck a power pole, sheriff’s deputies said.
A sheriff’s sergeant on patrol discovered Victoria P. Gonzalez, 25, unconscious and bleeding in the driver’s seat of her car about 3:50 a.m. on Dale Street, just south of Chapman Avenue, deputies said.
Paramedics took her to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where she died about one hour later, Sheriff’s Lt. Dick Olson said.
Investigators have not found any witnesses to the crash, which is under investigation, and are awaiting autopsy results.
