After only one year in the job, Steve Bell is moving out as president of network television at Twentieth Television and into the newly created position of president of Foxstar Productions. Twentieth TV is the network program production arm of the Fox film and TV studio.

Bell, 54, former general manager at KTLA-TV (Channel 5), will now develop movies and miniseries for the Fox network, the new Fox cable channel, syndication and other TV outlets.

Assuming Bell’s responsibilities at Twentieth Television is Peter Roth, who had been president of network production at Twentieth Television. Roth, 42, had been second in command in the division since joining Fox in May, 1992, from Stephen J. Cannell Productions, where he was president.
