Man Killed, Driver Arrested in Crash
ANAHEIM — A 22-year-old Garden Grove man was killed Sunday night and a Huntington Beach man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol when the car they were riding in rolled several times while exiting the Orange Freeway at Katella Avenue, police said.
Keith Heck, a passenger in the vehicle, was dead on arrival at UCI Medical Center in Orange after the 9:35 p.m. accident, said Officer Michael Nurisio of the California Highway Patrol.
The driver, Anthony Michael Sullivan, 22, was booked into County Jail, Nurisio said.
The two men were driving northbound on the freeway when Sullivan apparently lost control of the car, which hit a curb and rolled several times, Nurisio said. Heck was ejected from the car.
Both men were wearing seat belts, he said.
