AND ONE MORE THING: In a bill that way out-weirds the recent pairing of the Grateful Dead and Sting, ukulele-plucker Tiny Tim--so polite and proper he always referred to his now-ex-wife as “Miss Vicki”--will be on the same Raji’s show Friday as L.A. band Duchess DeSade, known for very impolite displays of S&M; on stage. Tim (who, for you post “Laugh-In” kids, was a cultural phenom in the late ‘60s, reviving Tin Pan Alley hits with an odd falsetto and a, well, peculiar personality) will also be at Fair City in Santa Monica on Wednesday, with the bands Insect Surfers, Ye Olde English and Swarm. Long-time L.A. underground scenestress Tequila Mockingbird is behind these shows, certifying her status as either a genius or a madwoman--or perhaps both.
