World IN BRIEF : IRAQ : Baghdad to Resist U.S. Air Strikes

The newspaper of the ruling Arab Baath Socialist Party said Iraq will resist any further air strikes by U.S. planes patrolling “no-fly” zones in the north and south of the country. “The Iraqis’ bullets, defending their life and sovereignty . . . will not succumb to an arrogant power (the United States) . . . now using a number of planes in a stupid manner,” the newspaper Al Thawra said.
