Countywide : Free Health Checks Offered Youngsters
The fourth annual Kids Care Fair will offer free immunizations and health screenings Sept. 11 at three locations throughout the county, organizers said.
Aimed at improving children’s health, the event will provide blood pressure, vision, hearing and other exams for anyone 18 and under. The fair is sponsored by FHP Health Care, KABC-TV, Unocal 76, the American Red Cross and Children Now, a children’s advocacy organization, said spokeswoman Julie Goetz.
In Santa Ana, the event will be held at the Corbin Community Center, 2215 W. McFadden Ave.
In San Clemente, the Samaritan Medical Center, 654 Camino de Los Mares, will hold the event.
Western Medical Center-Anaheim, 1025 S. Anaheim Blvd., will also offer the screenings and immunizations.
Events at all three sites will begin at 9 a.m. The fair ends at noon at Corbin and at 1 p.m. at Samaritan and Western medical centers.
