Fans Quick on Draw With Their Opinions of Whitaker-Chavez
I quit. I’m really done with boxing this time. Don King and WBC President Jose Sulaiman have murdered it.
Everyone, including Julio Cesar Chavez’s mother, knows Chavez lost to Pernell Whitaker--in a landslide.
No more of my dollars will fund corrupt pay-per-view events or any of the other nonsense that tries to pass for legitimate sports. I’m switching my loyalty to something with more validity--like, say, pro wrestling.
Let me know when Don King is in jail again.

If the Whitaker-Chavez fight at the Alamodome was a draw, then the Davy Crockett-Santa Anna fight at the Alamo was also a draw.

Pernell Whitaker should accept a rematch only on the condition that Julio Cesar Chavez accepts a defeat. A rematch would benefit only Don King and Chavez.

A draw? I don’t think so. It was obvious to most people that Pernell Whitaker beat Julio Cesar Chavez. Chavez even knew it. What Whitaker couldn’t do was beat the team of Don King and his puppet, Jose Sulaiman of the WBC.
It is time that the government started an investigation of boxing and rid the sport of corrupt promoters and officials like this nefarious duo. They make the boxing corruption of 40 years ago look honest. A lifetime ban would be appropriate.

Question: What does 115-115 mean?
Answer: That boxing promoters can make more money on pay-per-view by having a rematch.

In order to be truly great, Pernell Whitaker must first achieve what only Riddick Bowe has done. He must trash the foul WBC belt.
