BASEBALL / DAILY REPORT : DODGERS : Team Will Go to Taiwan, Japan
The Dodgers will play a series of exhibition games in Taiwan and Japan this fall, President Peter O’Malley announced in Fukuoka, Japan.
The tour will begin with a three-game series in Taipei, Taiwan, on Oct. 29-31. Then they play a two-game series Nov. 2-3 in Fukuoka, Japan.
This marks the first trip by a major league team to Taiwan and the third trip to Japan by the Dodgers, who also played there in 1956 and 1966.

Outfielder Darryl Strawberry will join the Dodgers’ Arizona Instructional League team today in Phoenix. He will continue his rehabilitation at the team’s training complex there.
