Motorcyclist Dies in Highway Crash
PALMDALE — A 25-year-old man died after his speeding motorcycle slammed into the back of a trailer being towed by a pickup truck in Palmdale, authorities said.
Juan Ramon Hernandez of Lancaster was riding south on Sunday on Sierra Highway near Avenue O-8 about 90 m.p.h. when he hit the rear of a slower-moving truck pulling a utility trailer, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Investigator David Davidson.
Hernandez was ejected from the motorcycle on impact and was struck by another car, Davidson said.
Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other drivers were not cited, Davidson said.
