Fullerton Rally Beats Magnolia
FULLERTON — Quarterback Christopher Young rallied Fullerton from a 10-point deficit as the Indians defeated Magnolia, 14-10, in a nonleague football game Thursday night at Fullerton High.
Magnolia took a 10-0 lead with 4 minutes 7 seconds remaining in the first half after safety Josh Hashry picked off a Young pass and returned it 27 yards for the touchdown.
Sean Roy added a 25-yard field goal with 1:22 left in the first quarter.
Fullerton then marched 64 yards on nine plays, as Young capped the drive with a three-yard scoring pass to Joe Juarez.
The Indians’ first possession of the second half was a 93-yard, 14-play drive. Young connected for a seven-yard touchdown pass with Keith Ginter with 27 seconds left in the third quarter to give the Indians the lead for good, 12-10.
