Brajdas Reports $288,000 Profit
Brajdas Corp., the Garden Grove electronic component distributor, posted third-quarter profit of $288,000, or 1 cent a share, compared to $83,000, or 1 cent a share, for the 1992 third quarter.
Sales for the quarter ended Oct. 1 rose to $18.9 million from $8.3 million. Profit for the nine-month period was $298,000, or 1 cent a share, compared to $408,000, or 4 cents a share, for the corresponding period in 1992. Sales increased to $46.7 million from $24.2 million.
Earlier this year, RicheyImpact Electronics Inc. merged with Brajdas. The results for the third quarter reflect the combined operations of the merged companies and the nine-month results include six months of the combined operations. Comparative information for the 1992 periods are only for Richey operations.
American Restaurant Group Inc.: The privately held company in Newport Beach said its third-quarter, pretax earnings totaled $8.1 million, 23% higher than the year-earlier period. Revenue was up 5%, to $108.1 million.
