Three men were arrested early Monday on suspicion of robbing a couple at gunpoint in the parking lot of a Taco Bell restaurant, police said.

The victims, both 20 and from Newport Beach, told officers they were sitting in their car in the parking lot of the restaurant at 2259 Harbor Blvd. about 1:45 a.m. when several men approached them, police investigator George Wilson said.

One of the men pulled out a gun, and the men took their money, jewelry and a leather jacket, then drove off in a maroon Camaro, Wilson said.

The men were being held Monday at City Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail each.
